Why would a police officer need a license?

"Perhaps" the true situation is the license you purchase from the government, which they tell you gives you the "privilege to drive", is not what it seems: Since you already have an inherent right to use the public roads in the peaceful conduct of your own affairs as a fundamental component of your personal liberty, what you are doing is paying the government an extortionist's fee while simultaneously giving the police permission (a license) to commit armed highway robbery against you.
